Youth Programming
At Beit Chaverim, we are proud to offer a vibrant and engaging youth program that nurtures a love of Judaism, community, and tradition among our youngest members.
Weekly Shabbat Youth Programming
Every Shabbat morning, we provide age-appropriate programming designed to inspire a positive and joyful connection to Shabbat and tefillah (prayer). Our groups, led by experienced educators and teen leaders, include songs, stories, discussions on the weekly Torah portion, and supervised playtime. Children are guided through parts of the Shabbat morning service, helping them build familiarity with the siddur and deepen their understanding of tefillah in an encouraging environment. Youth groups are held weekly for toddlers through middle school-aged children.
Holiday Programming
Throughout the year, our youth enjoy special programming during Jewish holidays, including interactive learning, festive activities, and hands-on mitzvah projects. From creating sukkah decorations, to Chanukah parties, to Purim carnivals, and meaningful Yom Ha’atzmaut celebrations, our goal is to help children experience the joy, beauty, and depth of the Jewish calendar.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah Training
Our Bar and Bat Mitzvah program prepares each child for this important milestone within a traditional framework. We work closely with families to ensure each student develops strong skills in Torah reading, tefillah leadership, and D’var Torah preparation. Beyond mastering the technical aspects, our program emphasizes the meaning and responsibility of becoming a full member of the Jewish community. Individualized training, mentorship, and group educational sessions foster a deep and lasting connection to Torah, mitzvot, and community life.
At every stage, Beit Chaverim’s youth programming is designed to build a strong foundation of Jewish knowledge, practice, and pride, helping each child grow into a committed and joyful Jewish adult.
