Eruv
"Eruv" refers to a fence—either real or symbolic—that surrounds a Jewish neighborhood, permitting carrying within its boundaries. The eruv chatzeirot operates so that all the residents treat the entire area as their home—it legally transforms a shared living area into a common one. The presence of a valid eruv enables people to carry or move virtually all items outdoors within its boundaries on Shabbat.
6/30/14c The Eruv has been extended along Rt 33 (including Bolton Rd.) and turns onto the north side of Partrick Rd. until it meets the noted boundary at Old Hill
