Sisterhood

The Sisterhood of Beit Chaverim is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual, educational, and social needs of women within our congregation. Our mission is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where women can connect, learn, and grow together. We strive to empower women to take on leadership roles, engage in acts of tikkun olam (repairing the world), and enhance their Jewish learning, knowledge and identity.

We offer a wide range of engaging programs and activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our members. These include:

  1. Educational Workshops: We organize workshops led by experienced educators and guest speakers on various topics related to Jewish life, personal growth, and women's issues. These workshops provide opportunities for learning, discussion, and enrichment.
  2. Torah Study: Our sisterhood encourages women to deepen their understanding of Torah through study groups, classes, and interactive discussions. We explore biblical texts, Jewish thought, and contemporary issues, allowing for personal and spiritual growth.
  3. Social and Networking Events: We organize social gatherings, holiday celebrations, and networking events to facilitate connections among our members. These events foster a sense of camaraderie, friendship, and support, enabling women to build strong relationships within our community.
  4. Community Service and Tikkun Olam: Our sisterhood is committed to making a positive impact on our local community and beyond. We engage in acts of tikkun olam by partnering with charitable organizations, volunteering our time and skills, and supporting causes that align with our values.
  5. Leadership Development: We believe in nurturing leadership skills among women in our community. Through mentorship programs, training sessions, and opportunities to take on leadership roles within the sisterhood and the larger congregation, we empower women to make meaningful contributions.

Membership and Involvement: We welcome all women, regardless of age or background, to join our sisterhood and become active participants in our vibrant community. Whether you are a long-time member or new to the congregation, we encourage you to get involved, share your talents, and contribute to the growth of our sisterhood.
